Paylocity Positions Itself for Growth
<< Back
Arlington Heights, Illinois – September 17, 2007 – Time and technology never stand still. Neither does Paylocity, the largest independent payroll services provider in the U.S. In ten years, entrepreneur Steve Sarowitz has grown his firm from a three-person start-up to a $17,500,000 corporation with 150 employees.
Paylocity — which recently moved to larger headquarters to accommodate its growing staff — has just named industry veteran Steven R. Beauchamp its new President and Chief Operating Officer. Beauchamp has extensive experience, particularly in the areas of product strategy and development as well as acquisitions.
Most recently, Beauchamp served as VP of Product Management and Corporate Officer for Paychex, Inc. He joined Paychex in 2002, following its acquisition of Advantage Payroll Services, Inc., where he managed 21 offices serving more than 35,000 clients.
Beauchamp’s arrival comes at a fortuitous time. WebPay, the company’s flagship product, was just awarded five stars — a perfect score — by the CPA Technology Advisor. The publication, a resource for tech-savvy accountants, conducts an annual review of payroll systems.
WebPay received flawless ratings for its ease of use, features, and integration capabilities. “We’re thrilled,” says Sarowitz. “Our software development team spent five years developing WebPay, a web-based, unified payroll/HR solution for mid-market firms.”
Unlike its competitors, WebPay provides employers with a single system for all payroll and human resource needs. Its self-service function lets employees access personal information directly, and it offers an expansive report library and flexible report writer at no additional charge to clients.
WebPay seamlessly integrates with retirement plan, general ledger, and time and attendance applications, saving employers time and money.
Most important, clients love it. According to a recent internal survey, 90 percent of clients using WebPay would recommend Paylocity to a friend or business associate.
Paylocity continues to garner praise within the payroll industry and was twice awarded the “Payroll Service of the Year Award” from the Independent Payroll Providers Association.
In addition, Paylocity was recently named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies, and made the Inc. 500 list twice previously.
“We’re growing fast,” acknowledges Sarowitz. “And — especially in light of these recent accomplishments — we’re harnessing that momentum toward even more significant expansion.”
