I.P.P.A. Names Steve Sarowitz New President

Steve Sarowitz, founder and president of Paylocity Corporation in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, was recently named president of the Independent Payroll Providers Association at the IPPA Annual Conference held in Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Sarowitz brings a track record of success and an innovative style to the IPPA, with the goal of expanding the organization and the resources available to assist members in advancing their respective organizations.

His first initiative as president was to install a strict set of required fiduciary standards to help reduce fraud in the payroll industry. Beginning 2007, all IPPA members must agree to adhere to proper standards as a condition of membership. The rules are primarily designed to ensure that members are fulfilling their fiduciary responsibility with clients’ tax funds. Says Sarowitz, “It is paramount that IPPA uphold the highest standards among our membership if we are to remain the leading association within our industry.”
