Paylocity Receives Best Places to Work in Illinois Award

Elk Grove Village, Illinois – April 18, 2006 – Paylocity Corporation was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois.
Based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, the company provides payroll and integrated human resource solutions to clients t hroughout the United States. Paylocity twice received the Payroll Service of the Year Award from the Independent Payroll Providers Association (IPPA). Likewise, Inc. Magazine named Paylocity to the Inc. 500 list for being among the country’s fastest-growing, privately-held companies for two consecutive years.
The Best Places to Work in Illinois award was conceived in 2005 as a partnership of The Business Ledger, Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the Society of Human Resource Managers – Illinois State Council, and the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Illinois awards are being presented to 15 companies in two categories: 10 medium-sized companies (25-250 employees) and 5 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees).
Paylocity has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois in the medium category.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Have at least 25 employees in Illinois
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business
- Be a publicly or privately-held business
- Have a facility in Illinois
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine The Best Places to Work in Illinois. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation.
The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.
The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Illinois with assistance from ModernThink LLC, New York, which used its expertise to analyze the data and determine the final rankings.
Paylocity will be recognized and honored at The Business Ledger’s Annual Awards for Business Excellence and Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The final rankings will be revealed at the ceremony.
